We needed e-signature. So we built it. And it is free.
Autessa E-Signature is a complete signing system with reusable templates, role-based fields, alternate signers, viewers, routing, sealed PDFs and a court-ready audit trail. Every agreement we execute runs through it, including client contracts and partner agreements.
Fifteen minutes, one time. We will never add you to a drip sequence. See our privacy policy.
There is nothing to buy, on the call or after it. No credit card and no trial clock.
ESIGN Act · UETA · eIDAS · PAdES · RFC 3161
Are you already an Autessa customer? It is already free, and the call is just for setup.
This is not a stripped-down free edition and it is not a trial. It is the same system we run the company on. It costs this little because the Autessa Platform already does the hard part.
The controls you expect from an enterprise signing system.
Place fields once, bind them to roles like Client, Approver or Witness, and share the template across your company.
Give one slot to two contacts so that either can sign and the slot completes. Add read-only viewers who never hold up the envelope.
Send to everyone at once, or route one signer at a time so each is invited only after the last one finishes.
Require a one-time passcode so each signer confirms who they are before the document will open.
Require every signature or complete on the first. Watch each envelope move from sent to viewed to signed.
Finished documents ship through private download links you can expire or revoke at any time. You can send reminders and fresh links without starting over.
It is free, but it is not lightweight. This is the signature you defend in a dispute.
Most people have seen the acronyms below on a pricing page and were never told what they do. Here is what each one actually gets you when someone challenges a signed agreement years later.
This is US federal law. A signature captured this way carries the same legal weight as ink on paper, and it cannot be denied enforcement for being electronic.
This is the state-level counterpart, adopted in nearly every US state, with New York applying its own equivalent statute. Together with ESIGN it is why your contract stands up in a state court and not only a federal one.
This is the EU and UK regime. The signing flow is built to meet it, so you are not reaching for a second tool when the counterparty is European.
The cryptographic seal is embedded inside the PDF itself. Any change to a single character after signing breaks it, and the PDF says so when opened on any machine without asking us.
An independent timestamp authority attests to when the signing happened. The date is not our word against theirs, because it comes from a third party.
Each entry is chained to the one before it. Nothing can be quietly edited or removed after the fact, because breaking the chain is visible.
This is one document, generated automatically, carrying signer timestamps, IP addresses, certificate serials and document hashes. It travels with the sealed PDF.
Each signer affirmatively consents to sign electronically and attests to their authority. That is the part most disputes actually turn on.
Before the call
Questions people ask before the call
Is Autessa E-Signature really free?+
Yes. You get unlimited users and unlimited envelopes, with no per-seat charge, nothing upfront and nothing ongoing. It is free to existing Autessa customers, and free to anyone else who takes a 15-minute call with us.
Is an Autessa electronic signature legally binding?+
Yes. The signing flow captures consent and attestation to meet the ESIGN Act and UETA in the US, and eIDAS in the EU and UK. Each signature is sealed with PAdES and an RFC 3161 trusted timestamp, and every action is written to an append-only, hash-chained audit trail. Visit the Trust Center
Is there a limit on documents or signatures?+
No. There is no cap on documents, envelopes or signatures, and no per-seat limit on users. You can send one envelope a month or a thousand, and the price does not change.
What do I receive when a document is fully signed?+
You receive a sealed PDF and a certificate of completion carrying signer timestamps, IP addresses, certificate serials and document hashes. Because of the PAdES seal, any change to the file after signing invalidates it.
Do I have to buy anything?+
No. There is nothing to buy on the call or after it, no credit card is required and there is no trial clock. The call is a short introduction so we know who we are enabling.
Can I customize it or build on top of it?+
Yes. It runs on the Autessa Platform, so you can customize it and build on top of it in the Autessa Builder Platform instead of being stuck with a fixed signing application.
