Autessa Roleplay · AI roleplay training

Rehearse every conversation before it counts.

Autessa Roleplay is AI roleplay training software. Coaches assign realistic scenarios, trainees practice live voice or text conversations with AI characters who push back, and every session is scored against your own rubric, with the exact words each score was based on. It works out of the box with starter packs for sales, HR and support, and you shape the scenarios, characters, rubrics and roles to your company in Autessa.

The short answer

What is Autessa Roleplay?

Autessa Roleplay is an AI roleplay platform for sales, support and HR training. Trainees rehearse real conversations with AI characters by voice or text; an AI scorer grades each session against a rubric you write; coaches assign practice, review reports and adjust scores on the record.

It is built for the way people actually get better at conversations: by saying the words out loud to someone who pushes back, then hearing honestly what to change. Characters hold back what a real buyer would. Scores come with quotes. Delivery is counted, not guessed. And a coach can always say "not quite" without erasing what the AI said.

How it works

How does an AI roleplay session work?

The same rhythm every time: a brief, a conversation, a score, a report and a coach.

  2. 02 · CALL

Coaches adjust scores on the record and leave feedback.

What makes it different

Why is Autessa Roleplay different from other AI roleplay tools?

Most AI roleplay gives you a partner and a number. Autessa Roleplay gives you a partner who holds things back, a number you can trace to the words, and a coach who can disagree on the record.

Hidden briefs and tells

Characters who make you earn it

Every scenario carries a hidden brief, what the character really thinks and will not volunteer, and every character has tells for what warms them up and what shuts them down. The AI buyer holds back the budget, the failed last purchase or the real decision maker until the trainee asks well.
  • Never shown to trainees
  • Visible to authors in coach notes

Knowledge checks

Confident and wrong gets caught

A knowledge check criterion compares every claim the trainee made with reference text you provide, and marks it Correct, Incorrect or Not supported. Promise a feature you do not have, or quote the wrong refund window, and the report says so.

Coach adjustments

Disagree with the AI, on the record

A coach adjusts any score with a reason the trainee sees. The adjustment sits beside the AI score with the coach's name, so the report reads “AI Not achieved · Coach Achieved” and nobody wonders who changed what.

Questions

Questions about Autessa Roleplay

What is Autessa Roleplay?

Autessa Roleplay is AI roleplay training software. Coaches build scenarios, AI characters and scoring rubrics, assign practice to trainees, and every session comes back as a scored report with quotes from the conversation, delivery measures and room for coach feedback.

Does Autessa Roleplay work out of the box?

Yes. It ships with starter sales, HR and customer support packs, so a team can practice on day one. From there you shape it to your company in Autessa: write your own scenarios, characters and rubrics, set roles and permissions, and connect it to the rest of your Autessa apps.

How does AI sales roleplay work in Autessa?

The trainee reads a short brief, checks their microphone and starts a live voice call with an AI buyer who plays the scenario, objections and all. When the call ends the session is scored against the scenario rubric, usually in about a minute, and the trainee lands on their report.

How are roleplay sessions scored?

Against a rubric you write. Each criterion is rated, marked yes or no, scored as a framework like MEDDIC, checked against reference text, or left as feedback only. Scores are weighted into an overall percentage and compared to the pass mark, and every score shows the quotes it was based on.

Can I build my own AI buyer personas?

Yes. A character has a name, role, company, demeanor, personality, background facts, behaviors, objections, tells, a voice and an avatar color. Coaches with authoring permission create and edit them, and one character can appear in many scenarios.

Can a coach change a score the AI gave?

Yes. A coach adjusts any criterion with a short reason the trainee sees. The adjustment is stored beside the AI score, so the report shows both values and who made the change; the AI score is never silently rewritten.

Does it work for customer support and HR, not just sales?

Yes. Starter content includes a sales pack (discovery, demo, objection handling, renewal at risk), an HR pack (difficult feedback, performance review, harassment complaint intake, termination) and a customer support pack (angry customer refund, technical troubleshooting, churn save), and you can write any scenario you need.

Can trainees practice without a microphone?

Yes. Every scenario can be run by typing, and a voice call can be switched to text mid-session. Text sessions are scored against the same rubric.

What is a hidden brief?

A hidden brief is what the AI character really thinks and will not volunteer, plus what makes them walk away. The trainee never sees it, so they have to earn the information the way they would with a real buyer, employee or customer.

Who can see a trainee's session reports?

The trainee sees their own reports, and coaches with permission to see everyone's sessions see the whole team. A trainee who opens someone else's report gets an explanation, not the report.
