The short answer

What is Autessa Analytics?

Autessa Analytics is a website analytics and product analytics dashboard for teams with a marketing site and a web app. It reads the events in your PostHog project and turns them into ready-made reports for traffic, sources, conversions, content, feature usage, companies, people, session replays, campaigns and surveys.

It is built for the questions a whole company asks, not only an analyst. Marketing sees which posts bring people who book. Sales opens a prospect and reads what they did before the call. Success checks an account’s usage. Product watches the session with the error. Everyone reads the same numbers, with email link scanners already filtered out.

Your PostHog key never touches a browser: every query runs through a server-side Autessa script tool, and campaigns and survey answers live in Autessa tables. See how the PostHog connection works.

Clean newsletter numbers

Email link scanners, filtered out

Security scanners open every newsletter link before your reader does. Autessa Analytics recognizes them, leaves them out of every website report and shows how many it removed.
  • Excluded from reports, not deleted
  • Count shown on the overview
  • Live now and replays exclude them too

How it works

How does Autessa Analytics get its numbers?

Your site and app send events to PostHog. Autessa Analytics reads them safely and turns them into reports.

  1. Your site and app send events to PostHog

Pageviews, UTM tags, clicks, scroll depth, conversion goals and app milestones, with the company on app events.

  2. Autessa Analytics asks through a script tool

Each report sends its query to a server-side Autessa script tool that holds the PostHog key and binds every value.

  3. Reports fill in, cleanly

Link scanners are excluded, routes roll up into features, and people are counted once.

  4. Your team acts on it

Open a person, a company or a replay; plan the next campaign and share its tracked links.

Share the numbers, not the key

The PostHog key stays in a server-side tool, query values are bound, access follows Autessa sharing, and app replays mask all text and inputs. Read more in the Autessa Trust Center.

FAQ

Questions about Autessa Analytics

What is Autessa Analytics?

Autessa Analytics is a website and product analytics dashboard. It shows traffic, sources, conversions and content engagement for your marketing site, feature usage and companies for your web app, and people journeys, session replays, campaigns and surveys across both.

Does Autessa Analytics use PostHog?

Yes. Autessa Analytics reads events, people and session recordings from your PostHog project. Your site and app send events to PostHog, and Autessa Analytics turns them into ready-made reports.

Does it work out of the box?

Yes. Connect your PostHog project and the website, product, people, replay, campaign and survey reports fill in right away. Because Autessa Analytics is an Autessa app, you can then shape it to your company: rename features, change reports and add your own views.

Is the PostHog key exposed in the browser?

No. Every PostHog query runs through a server-side Autessa script tool that holds the key. The dashboard only sends the query and its values, and user-supplied values are bound as parameters, never pasted into the query.

Can I see website analytics and product analytics in one place?

Yes. The Website section covers your marketing site and the product section covers your signed-in app. People, Live now and Session replays work across both, so one person’s visits to the site and the app sit on the same page.

How does it show which sources lead to demos?

Acquisition lists every traffic source with visitors, sessions, pages per session and how many of those visitors booked a demo in the same range. Click a source to see its mediums and campaigns, and its landing pages.

How do I track a social post or newsletter?

Create a campaign, add the post, and click Get link. Autessa Analytics builds a UTM tracking link with the channel, the campaign and the post, and the campaign page then shows visitors, leads and booked demos for that post.

Why are some newsletter visitors excluded?

Email security scanners open every link in a newsletter before the reader does. Their visits arrive with a scrambled UTM source, so Autessa Analytics excludes that traffic from website metrics and shows how many link scanners were removed.

Can I see which features each customer company uses?

Yes. Companies lists every workspace active in your app with users, sessions, things built and most used feature, and each company page shows its people, daily actives, features, milestones and recent sessions. When a company goes quiet, an Autessa agent can call or email your contact there, on your instructions.

Are session replays private?

Recordings of the signed-in app mask all text and inputs. The replay list shows who, where, active time, clicks and errors, and each recording opens in your PostHog project.

Is Autessa Analytics cookieless like Plausible or Fathom?

You stay in control: what is collected, cookies and consent are set by how your site and app send events to PostHog. See the Autessa Trust Center for Autessa’s own security documentation.
