Session replays

Autessa Analytics lists session replays from your website and app so you can find the recordings worth watching: each recording shows the person, where it started, when, active time, clicks and console errors, with filters for active sessions, sessions with errors, website or app, and a search by email. Each recording opens in your PostHog project.

The problem it solves

Thousands of recordings, and most are ten seconds of nothing

Session replay is only useful if you can find the right recordings. Filtering to sessions with at least five seconds of activity, or to sessions with console errors, turns a wall of recordings into a short list.

What you get

  • Recordings from the last 7 days by default, up to 200 per view.
  • Activity filter: Active 5s+ (default), All, or With errors.
  • Property filter: Everywhere, Website or App.
  • Search by email or id.
  • Columns: person, where, start page, when, active time, clicks, error count and replay.
  • App recordings mask all text and inputs.
  • Recordings from email link scanners are left out.

How it works

How does session replays work?

  1. Filter to what matters

Start with active sessions; switch to With errors when you are chasing a bug.

  2. Scope it

Website for marketing questions, App for product ones.

  3. Search for a person

Type an email to see only their sessions.

  4. Watch

    Open the replay in PostHog.
