Conversions and demo funnel
Autessa Analytics includes conversion tracking for your website: a strict four-step demo funnel (visited, clicked a call to action, started booking, booked), every conversion goal your site sends, CTA clicks by page, and a list of the latest converters with their first source and a link to the session where they converted.
The problem it solves
A conversion rate tells you that it changed, not why
Knowing that 3% of visitors converted does not say where the other 97% stopped. The demo funnel counts people who did every earlier step, so the drop between “clicked a CTA” and “started booking” is visible on its own. Then the converter list lets you open the exact session a booking came from.
What you get
- Demo funnel: Visited → Clicked a CTA → Started booking → Booked a demo, each step counting only people who did every step before it.
- A hint shows how many people booked by any path, when that is more than the strict funnel.
- All conversions: people (and times) for each goal: demo booked, program application, survey completed, survey started, research subscribe, newsletter subscribe and research notify request.
- CTA clicks: which calls to action people click, and on which page.
- Recent converters: up to 50 people, their latest conversion, first source, when, and a replay link.
How it works
How does conversions and demo funnel work?
Your site sends goal events
Forms and booking flows on your website send events such as a completed demo booking or a newsletter signup to PostHog.
The funnel lines people up
For each person in the range, Autessa Analytics checks which of the four steps they reached, in order, and counts each step.
Goals are counted side by side
Every conversion goal is listed with the people who completed it, and how many times when people repeat it.
Open the converting session
Recent converters list each person with their first source and a link to the session replay of the visit they converted in.
Every option
What Conversions measures
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Visited | People with a pageview on your website in the range. |
| Clicked a CTA | Of those, people who clicked a call to action. |
| Started booking | Of those, people who opened or started the booking form. |
| Booked a demo | Of those, people who completed a booking. A hint adds bookings by any path. |
| Conversion goals | Demo booked, builders program application, survey completed, survey started (email given), research subscribe, newsletter subscribe, research notify request. |
| CTA clicks | Top 12 CTA and page pairs by people, using the CTA type or its text. |
| Recent converters | Person, the goal they completed last, first UTM source, when, and the session replay. |
Permissions
Who can do what?
| Who | Can |
|---|---|
| Anyone the app is shared with | Open every report, switch the date range, filter and search, and open people and replays in PostHog. |
| App admin | Share the app and its PostHog query tool with teammates, at read or edit level, and decide which tables they can change. |
Computed for you
Strict funnel, honest drop-offs
The funnel is computed per person, so someone who booked straight from an email without clicking a CTA does not inflate the middle steps. Their booking still shows in the “booked by any path” hint and in All conversions.

FAQ
Questions about conversions and demo funnel
Does Autessa Analytics have funnels?
Yes. Conversions includes a four-step demo funnel (visited, clicked a CTA, started booking, booked) where each step counts only people who did every earlier step.
Which conversion goals are tracked?
The goals your site sends: demo booked, program application, survey completed, survey started, research subscribe, newsletter subscribe and research notify request.
Can I see who converted?
Yes. Recent converters lists up to 50 people with their latest conversion, first source, time and a link to the session replay. An Autessa agent can also call or email them to follow up, on your instructions.
Can I build my own funnels in the app?
The funnel steps are set in the app, not edited from a screen. For ad-hoc funnels you can open the same data in your PostHog project.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Analytics fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
