Autessa Roleplay
AI roleplay practice
AI roleplay practice in Autessa Roleplay is a live conversation, by voice or text, with an AI character who plays your scenario: a brief before, a clock during, and a report after.
In short
Autessa Roleplay lets trainees rehearse real conversations out loud with AI characters, by voice or by text, with a brief before the call and a clock during it.
Trainees rehearse the conversations that matter to their job (a discovery call, a price objection, a refund demand, a hard piece of feedback) out loud, with a partner who pushes back like a real person and never gets tired of the tenth run.
Everything is designed around one question a trainee asks the whole time: is it my turn? A ring around the character, one status line, live captions and a visible clock answer it.
- Full-duplex voice with interruptions
- Text mode and switch mid-call
- Time limits and pressure mode
- Self-directed practice library
Features
What is in aI roleplay practice?
Voice roleplay with AI characters
Autessa Roleplay runs live voice calls with AI characters: trainees speak naturally, can cut the character off mid-sentence, and always see whose turn it is.
Read more →Pre-call brief and mic check
Every roleplay opens with a brief: the trainee goal, what good looks like, who they are talking to, how the call starts and a microphone check.
Read more →Text roleplay
Any Autessa Roleplay scenario can be practiced by typing, from the start or by switching mid-call, and is scored exactly like a voice session.
Read more →Time limits and pressure mode
Scenarios can run against the clock with a warning before time is up, and pressure mode makes the character interrupt, push harder and give less ground.
Read more →Practice library
The practice library lets anyone run any active scenario on their own, as often as they like, with a full report every time.

Questions about aI roleplay practice
Can trainees interrupt the AI character?
Yes. Voice sessions are full-duplex, so the trainee can cut in mid-reply and the character stops speaking. The transcript records what the trainee actually heard.
Does the trainee see the hidden brief?
No. The brief shows the trainee brief, goals and opener only. The hidden brief and the character's tells are visible only to people who can author content.
Is a text session scored differently from a voice session?
No. It is scored against the same scenario rubric with the same criteria and evidence quotes.
What does pressure mode do?
The character interrupts, pushes harder and gives less ground. It is meant for the hardest rehearsals: a tough negotiation, an angry customer or a termination conversation.
