Chat that does the work
An AI assistant that does the task
Autessa Autobots do the task instead of describing how to do it: they work step by step across your apps and data and say briefly what they did.
Autessa Autobots are AI agents for everyday work: ask in plain words and they do the job across Autessa and your apps, then say briefly what they did.
The problem it solves
Why it matters
Most AI chat stops at an answer: it tells you how to build the table, which buttons to click, what the email could say. You still do the work. Autessa Autobots are told to do the task, not describe it, so the answer to “set up a table of our customers” is the table.
How it works
How an AI assistant that does the task works, step by step
- 1
Ask in plain words
Type what you would normally do yourself. Enter sends, Shift+Enter adds a line. Each Autobot offers suggested requests for its job. - 2
It works step by step
The companion orb shows it thinking while it works. What it does in its browser shows live in the side panel, not as a wall of tool calls. - 3
It says briefly what it did
The reply is short prose: what changed, where it lives, and anything it needs from you. - 4
Keep going in the same chat
A message you send while it works waits its turn instead of starting a second run. Chats are saved per Autobot with automatic titles.
Options and settings
Every option, in one place
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| New chat | Starts a fresh conversation. Nothing is created until you send the first message, so just looking leaves no empty chat behind. |
| Chat list | Every chat with the selected Autobot, with rename and delete. Search filters Autobots and chats. |
| Suggested requests | Starter requests that fit the Autobot’s job, shown on a new chat. |
| Side panel | Browser, Workflows and Built tabs; drag to resize, widen, or hide. The width is remembered. |
| Readable JSON replies | An Autobot that an app reads through the API can answer with JSON; the chat shows each field on its own labeled line while the saved reply stays JSON. |
Roles and permissions
Who can do what?
| Who | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Anyone whose role can use agents | Create Autobots, chat with them, and use Autobots shared with them or with the company. |
| The Autobot’s owner | Rename it, change its job, apps, MCP servers and settings, or delete it with its chats. |
| Everyone else it is shared with | Chat with it and keep their own chats; they cannot change or delete it. |
AI assist
How the Autobot helps
Every Autobot starts with the same working rules: do the task, work through Autessa first, use connected apps through their own tools, build a visual when seeing beats reading, ask before sending, buying, deleting or posting, and build only what you asked for.

FAQ
Questions about an AI assistant that does the task
What can I ask an Autobot to do?
Anything you would normally do yourself in Autessa or your connected apps: build or update a table, summarize a Drive file, draft replies, send an invoice, recap a meeting, schedule a recurring job or record a browser workflow.
What happens if I send a message while it is still working?
It waits its turn. The message goes once the current turn ends, so you never get two runs of the same chat answering at once. If the Autobot is waiting on you, for a form or an approval, your message answers that instead.
Are my chats saved?
Yes. Each Autobot keeps your chats with titles, which you can rename or delete. Opening a saved chat shows it first and then reconnects, so the Autobot remembers the conversation.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Autobots fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
