Tasks and quick add

Autessa CRM includes sales task management with a one-line quick add: type “Send Yakima the quote tomorrow 3pm p1 @dana #kitsap” and the date, priority, owner and company are set for you. Waiting on items track what others owe you with a chase date, and tasks carry checklists, sub-tasks and comments.

The problem

Task forms are slower than the task

If logging a follow-up takes longer than sending it, nobody logs it. Quick add turns one typed sentence into a complete task, and Waiting on gives you a place for the things that are not yours to do but are yours to chase.

What you get

  • Quick add understands tomorrow, fri, 3pm and next week for dates; p1, p2, p3 for priority; @name for who owns it or who it is about; #company for what it is about.
  • Anything that does not match is left in the title and flagged “didn’t match anything”.
  • Tasks: title, status, priority (Low, Normal, High, Urgent), owner, due date, who it is with, description, checklist, one level of sub-tasks and comments.
  • Waiting on: what you are waiting for, who from, and the date to chase.
  • Received closes a waiting item; overdue waits raise an alert.
  • Reply tasks are created automatically when a contact writes back.

FAQ

Questions about tasks and quick add

Can I add a CRM task in one line?

Yes. Quick add reads dates, times, priority (p1 to p3), @owner and #company from one typed line.

What is a waiting item?

Something someone else owes you, with a chase date. It appears on Today when the chase date comes and closes when you mark it Received. You can also ask an Autessa agent to call or email them to chase it.
