Create a new table with data
Autessa Synthetic Data can create a new table and fill it in one job. Design or propose the schema, name the table, and the job creates the table first and then generates the rows into it.
The problem
Prototypes need a table and data at the same time
When you are sketching a new app, preparing a sales demo or standing up a test environment, you need both a table and believable data in it. Doing those as two separate chores slows every iteration.
What you get
- Create the table and its data together with the "New table" target.
- The table name defaults to the dataset name, or to the proposed name when you propose a schema.
- The table is created immediately, before generation starts.
- Built-in id, created and updated columns are added for you.
- After the job, "View in table" opens the new table.
- Rows are validated against the new table’s columns exactly as for an existing table.
How it works
How does create a new table with data work?
Choose New table
Pick "New table" in "1. Target".
Describe the data
Name the dataset and write the description.
Design the schema
Propose a schema from the description or add columns yourself, and set the table name.
Start

FAQ
Questions about create a new table with data
What happens to the table if I discard the job?
The table stays, because it was created when the job started. Discarding throws away staged rows that were never written.
Can I change the table later?
Yes. It is a normal table in your Autessa database, so you can add columns, share it and build on it like any other.
Can I generate more rows into it later?
Yes. Append more rows to the job, or start a new job that targets it as an existing table.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Synthetic Data fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
