Security, sharing and data
How Autessa Video Studio protects your videos
Autessa Video Studio keeps videos private until you share them, gives collaborators edit or view access, puts download, expiry and revoke controls on every public link, and runs on Autessa's own AI models.
Practices
What does Video Studio do to keep videos safe?
A role permission gates the studio
Company admins choose which roles can use Video Studio with the "Video Studio" role permission. People without it do not see the studio.
Private by default, shared on purpose
Each project is private, shared with specific people, or open to everyone at your company, using the same sharing model as the rest of Autessa.
Edit and view access
Collaborators get Can edit or Can view. Viewers can watch and read but cannot change scenes, voice or settings, and cannot start anything that uses AI.
Only the owner deletes
Deleting a video is limited to its owner and asks for confirmation first.
Public links you control
Public links need no login, so they carry controls: allow or block download, an optional expiry, and revoke at any time. Revoked or expired links show a plain "This link is invalid, revoked, or expired." message.
Short-lived media links
Images, audio and video play through signed links generated when you open them and expire soon after, rather than permanent public file addresses.
Stock media stored, not hotlinked
Stock photos and clips from Unsplash and Pexels are downloaded into your project, with their attribution, so your video does not depend on a third-party link.
Autessa's own AI models
Video Studio runs on Autessa's own AI models, whatever bring-your-own-model connections your company has set up.
Your data in your tables
Each video is a row in a Videos table and each scene a row in a Scenes table in your company's AutessaDB, governed by the same permissions as your other data.
No surprise AI spend
Every step that uses AI shows a task estimate first and only runs on a click.
Permissions
Who can do what in Video Studio?
| Who | Can | Cannot |
|---|---|---|
| Company admin | Grant the Video Studio role permission to roles | See private projects that are not shared with them |
| Owner | Everything in the project, sharing, public links, delete | — |
| Editor (Can edit) | Write, plan, generate, voice, render, create public links | Delete the video |
| Viewer (Can view) | Watch, read the script and scenes | Change anything or start AI steps |
| Anyone with a public link | Watch with captions; download if allowed | See the project, script or other videos |
Public links
Share outside your company, on your terms
Every public link has its own settings. Make it view-only or allow download, set an expiry, and revoke it the moment it is no longer needed. You can keep several links per video, for example one per client.
Certifications and reports
Autessa publishes its security documentation and audit reports on the Autessa Trust Center.
FAQ
Security questions about Video Studio
Who can see my Video Studio projects?
Only you, until you share. You can share with specific people or with everyone at your company, each with edit or view access.
Can I stop people downloading a shared video?
Yes. Leave Allow download off and the public watch page has no download button. As with any video on the web, someone watching can still capture their screen, so share sensitive content only with people you trust.
Does Video Studio send my script to my own AI provider?
No. Video Studio uses Autessa's own AI models, even if your company has connected its own model provider for other features.
How do I turn off a public link?
Revoke it from the Public link panel. It stops working immediately. Links can also expire on a date you set.
Where are Autessa's security certifications?
Autessa's security documentation and reports are on the Autessa Trust Center at trust.autessa.com.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Video Studio fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
