Replay pace

Each Autodocs workflow replays either at the pace it was recorded or as fast as the page allows, chosen when you save it.

THE PROBLEM

Some sites need patience, some tasks need speed

A replay that runs as fast as possible can outrun a slow page; one that waits like a person wastes time on a fast one. Autodocs lets you choose, per workflow.

Choose how a recording replays: waiting as long as you did between steps, or running each step the moment the page shows its element.

How it works

How does replay pace work in Autodocs?

  1. 1

    Record normally

Each step is captured with the pause before it.

  2. 2

Choose a pace when you save

At recorded pace waits as long as you did between steps. As fast as possible does each step as soon as the page shows it.

  3. 3

    See it on the workflow

The workflow’s header says how it replays, and at recorded pace each step shows the wait before it, such as “after 3s”.

  4. 4

    Replay

Runs keep the pace you chose. A run asked to go fast goes fast regardless.

AI assist

Where AI helps

AI is used where it saves you work and is always visible: it writes the guide from your recording, and it finds elements that moved during a replay, marking those steps healed. You stay in charge of what gets published.

FAQ

Replay pace: questions

Which pace should I choose?

Choose As fast as possible for most tasks, since each step still waits for its element to appear. Choose At recorded pace for sites that need time between steps, such as pages that load data in the background.

Can I change the pace later?

Record and save again with the same name to replace the workflow with a new pace.

Does pace affect the guide?

No. The guide is the same either way; pace only changes how the workflow replays.

Try replay pace on a task you do every week.

Record it once in Autodocs. You get the guide for your team and the workflow for next time.
