Brands, aliases and competitors

Autessa Visibility tracks one or many brands. Each brand has a name, a domain (used for citations and Google rank), aliases that count as mentions, the competitors you benchmark against, and notes. Mentions are matched as whole words, case-insensitively, and brand names that are everyday words only count with their exact casing.

MATCHING
“Northwind fits agencies” counts. “north wind” and “Northwinds” do not. A brand called Make counts as “Make”, never as “make an agent”.

The problem

Bad matching makes every number wrong

If your brand is called “Linear” or “Make”, a naive search finds it in every answer. If you have a product name and a company name, a narrow search misses half your mentions. Brands and aliases, with careful matching, are the foundation of every metric.

What you get

  • Track several brands, each with its own prompts, results and events.
  • Domain: used for citation coverage and Google rank; entered without https:// or a trailing slash.
  • Also known as: comma-separated aliases, any of which counts as a mention.
  • Competitors: comma-separated, drives share of voice and the leaderboard.
  • Whole-word matching across languages; common-word brand names like Make, Notion or Monday count only with your exact casing.
  • Discover competitors with AI from the brand row.
  • Deleting a brand also deletes its prompts, check history and timeline events, after a clear confirmation.

FAQ

Questions about brands, aliases and competitors

Can I track more than one brand?

Yes. Each brand has its own prompts, competitors, results and events, and every page has a brand picker.

What if my brand name is a common word?

Brand names that are everyday words, like Make or Notion, only count when written with the exact casing you entered, so “make an agent” is not a mention of Make.

Are product names counted?

Yes, if you add them as aliases. Any alias counts as a mention of the brand.
