How Autessa Drive protects your files
Autessa Drive keeps every drive private until you share it, separates drive membership from file access, shows who has access and where it comes from, asks before a move changes access, and makes search and AI agents follow the same sharing. Every change is a version, and admins control where Drive can appear on computers.

What keeps company files safe
Private by default
A new drive is empty and private: only its creator and drive admins can see it until something is shared.
Membership never reveals files
Adding people to a drive only puts it in their list. Each folder and file is visible only to the people it is shared with.
Roles that stack predictably
Viewer, Commenter and Editor, inherited downward only, with the stronger role winning. Nobody can grant a role higher than their own.
Who has access, with the source
Every Share dialog lists the owner, managers, direct shares and inherited shares with the folder each comes from.
Moves that ask first
Before a move that changes access, Drive lists who will gain and lose it. The CLI and API move nothing until you confirm.
Search and AI follow sharing
Search, exact text search and every agent tool only return files the person (or the agent’s acting identity) can open; unsharing hides a file immediately.
Agents can be fenced
A folder scope confines an agent to one folder even if its identity could see more. Write tools need Editor access, and every write is a version.
Links you control
Share links can be limited to signed-in colleagues, block downloads, expire on a date and be revoked instantly. Links stop when an item is trashed.
Recoverable by design
Versions on every save and agent edit, a 30-day trash by default, and conflict copies instead of overwrites on the desktop.
App passwords, not your password
Network drives sign in with per-computer app passwords that work for one company and only for Drive, with last-used details and instant removal.
Admin and device controls
Company admins can turn off network drives or the desktop app; IT can keep Drive off specific computers with the DisableDriveIntegration policy.
API keys with two layers
Keys need READ, WRITE or DELETE on the drive and then only reach items their acting identity can open; anything else behaves as if it does not exist.

no-silent-oversharing
Reorganizing never quietly changes who can see a file
Access follows folders, so Drive shows exactly who will gain and who will lose access before any move, and refuses moves of folders that contain items you cannot see.

Autessa Drive
Share files without losing track of who can see them
Private by default, inherited roles, links you control, and AI that follows the same rules.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Drive fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
