What a scan does
Whether a code was made in the web app or by a script, a scan follows the same path: short link, logged scan, optional tags, redirect.
- 01
Someone scans
The printed code holds only your fixed short link, …/public/qr/k3x9a2m.
- 02
The scan is logged
Time, device, location and IP are recorded before anything else happens.
- 03
Tags are added
If campaign tracking is on, utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign join the URL.
- 04
They land on your page
A redirect sends them to today’s destination. Paused codes stop here.
