How Autessa AI Receptionist keeps your team and your callers private

Autessa AI Receptionist is built so a caller cannot talk it into revealing your team: the AI is never told teammates' names or numbers, cell numbers are stored encrypted, transfers need a one-time approval, and transcripts and setup are limited to the people who should see them.

Controls

What is protected, and how?

AreaHow it works
Teammates' cell numbersStored in an encrypted, masked column that only the owner and the phone system can read. The AI is never given a name or number, and numbers are scrubbed from what it sees.
Who is on your teamThe receptionist never discusses who works at your company and only names a teammate if the caller said that name first. Repeated fishing ends the call.
Transfer approvalsEach approved transfer is a one-time pass that expires after ten minutes, and the screener treats the caller's words as information, not instructions.
TranscriptsShown on a call page only to people allowed to read your phone calls; otherwise the card is hidden.
Setup and self-testOnly company admins (the owner or people who manage team members) can run the setup check, Fix everything and the self-test.
Directory cardsEach teammate edits only their own card. People who turn on "Ring my cell" share that number with teammates who manage the receptionist.
Caller notesPrivate to your team; the receptionist never reads them to callers.
Texting consentBooking links are only texted after the caller agrees in your registered consent wording, and STOP replies are honored.
Test callsNever remembered or blocked, kept out of stats and summaries, and urgent alerts go only to the person testing.
Audit stampsWho handled a call and when, who set a category, who blocked a number, and who last ran setup or the self-test.

Questions

Security questions

Can a caller get my team's phone numbers from the receptionist?

No. The receptionist is never given teammates' names or numbers, it does not discuss who works at your company, and cell numbers are stored encrypted for the phone system to dial.

Who can read call transcripts?

Only people allowed to read your phone calls. Everyone else the app is shared with sees the message, reason and summary, but not the transcript.

Where can I read about Autessa's certifications?

See the Autessa Trust Center at trust.autessa.com for security documentation and reports.
