Redact a list of names
Autessa Redact can search for a whole list of terms at once. Choose List in Find, paste names, case numbers or any other terms one per line, and Redact finds every match of every term so you can redact them all in one pass.

How does redact a list of names work in Autessa Redact?
Open Find and choose List
Press Ctrl+F and switch the search mode to List.
Paste your terms
One term per line, for example a list of names.
Review the matches
Uncheck anything you want to keep.
Redact
Pick a label such as Name and redact every checked match.

Questions about redact a list of names
Can I redact a list of names in one step?
Yes. In Find, choose List, paste the names one per line, and redact every match at once.
Is there a limit on how many terms I can paste?
The list takes as many lines as you need. Each line is searched across the whole document.
Can a list live somewhere my whole team can use?
For automated redaction, yes: the Detect Patterns tool can read terms from a table, so editing the table changes the next run.
