Find and redact text
Autessa Redact can search a document and redact every match at once. Type a word or phrase, and matches stream in page by page, starting with the page you are on. Redact shows which matches are already covered, lets you check or uncheck each one, and marks them all with the label you choose.
The problem
Missing the fifth mention on page 37
A name that appears forty times in a long file is easy to miss once. Search and redact finds every occurrence, including ones with slightly different punctuation, and shows you which are still uncovered, so nothing slips through.
- Open Find with Ctrl+F, the toolbar or Find all occurrences on a selection.
- Results stream in as the document is indexed, current page first, so a long file stays responsive.
- Matches found despite different punctuation are flagged so you can confirm them.
- Matches already inside a box are marked Covered and left alone.
- Check or uncheck each match, or Check all, then redact them in one step with a label.
- Enter and Shift+Enter step through matches; you can also redact just the current match.
- A box from Find is identical to one from a hand selection, built from the same text geometry.
