Redaction labels
Autessa Redact lets you label each redaction with what was removed, such as SSN, Name or Medical. You keep a quick-label palette of up to 20 labels, can type any other label on the spot, and choose whether labels are printed in white on the black boxes so readers can see why something was removed.
The problem
A page of black boxes that explains nothing
Readers of a redacted file often need to know what kind of information was removed, and reviewers need to know why. Labels answer both, and printing them is a choice you make per file.
- Default quick labels: SSN, Name, Phone, Email, Address, DOB, Account #, Signature, Medical and Confidential.
- Edit the palette in Label settings: add, remove and reorder up to 20 labels.
- Type any label on the spot; typed labels work even when they are not in the palette.
- Redact remembers the last label you used, so the next mark uses it with one key.
- Labels are optional; no label means a plain black box.
- Turn on Show labels on the burned file to print labels in white on each box.
- Your palette and last label are saved to your account and follow you to every file.
