Link removal
Autessa Redact removes links that could leak what you redacted. Any hyperlink that sits under a redaction is always removed from the saved file, and Break all links strips every hyperlink in the document, inside and outside the redacted areas.

mailto: link Link removed, it will not be in the saved file
help center link Kept, unless Break all links is on
The problem
The redacted email address that is still a mailto link
A PDF link keeps its address even when the visible text is covered, so a redacted email or web address can still be clicked or read from the file. Redact shows which links will be removed and gives you a switch to remove them all.
- Links under a box are marked “Link removed, it will not be in the saved file” in the editor.
- Break all links removes every hyperlink in the output.
- The Burn and save dialog confirms when all links will be removed.
- The burn preview shows the file with your link choice applied.
