The problem it solves

Hiding the past makes the present harder to believe

A status page that only shows today invites the question "what are you not telling me?". Security reviewers, procurement teams and long-time customers all want to see what happened and how it was handled. A plain, dated history answers them before they ask.

What you get

  • Past incidents on the front page: one row for each of the last 14 days, newest first.
  • Quiet days say "No incidents reported." so a gap never looks like missing data.
  • Each event shows its title, colored by impact, and the first line of its latest update.
  • A History page with Previous month and Next month; you cannot page into the future.
  • Each month lists every incident and maintenance window with badge, status, dates, the latest update and "All N updates".
  • A quiet month says "No incidents or maintenance in November 2026. Everything ran normally."
  • A month can be linked directly, so you can send a reviewer straight to it.
  • Canceled maintenance is left out of the history.

How it works

How does incident history work?

  1. Something resolves

A resolved incident or finished maintenance moves from the top sections into the past-incidents list for the day it ended.

  2. The 14-day list fills in

Each of the last 14 days in the visitor's time zone shows its events, or "No incidents reported".

  3. Months stay browsable

The History page groups everything by the month it started and lets visitors step back as far as your record goes.

  4. Every entry links to its page

From either list, the title opens the full incident page with all its updates.
