Component status
Autessa Status Page lists the components of your service, the parts customers actually rely on, each with a one-line description and a clear status: Operational, Degraded performance, Partial outage, Major outage or Under maintenance. Customers can see at a glance whether the problem is the part they use.
The problem it solves
"Something is wrong" is not enough
A single up-or-down light makes every hiccup look like an outage and every outage look like a hiccup. Customers need to know which part of your service is affected and how badly, so the people who do not use the API stop worrying, and the people who do know what to expect.
What you get
- Five statuses with their own color: Operational (green), Degraded performance (amber), Partial outage (orange), Major outage (red), Under maintenance (blue).
- A one-line description under each name explains what the component covers.
- You set the display order; the lowest number shows first.
- Hide a component from the public page without deleting it.
- Each component carries its own 90-day bar of daily status underneath.
- A legend of every status sits next to the Systems heading.
- Statuses change from the Overview in one click, from the component's own page, or automatically when incidents and maintenance are posted.
How it works
How does component status work?
Add the parts of your service
In Status Admin, Components, add each part customers would recognize: the web app, the API, payments, notifications.
Describe and order them
Give each a one-line description and an order number. They appear on the public page in that order.
Let incidents move them
When you report an incident, each affected component takes the severity you picked for it. Resolving puts it back.
Or change one directly
On the Overview, pick a new status from the drop-down next to a component. It shows on the status page at once and records when it changed.
Every option
Every component setting
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Name | Shown on the public page, for example "Web app". Required. |
| Description | One line shown under the name. |
| Status | Operational, Degraded performance, Partial outage, Major outage or Under maintenance. |
| Order | A number; lowest shows first. New components start at 100. |

FAQ
Questions about component status
What component statuses does Autessa Status Page use?
Five: Operational, Degraded performance, Partial outage, Major outage and Under maintenance.
Can I hide a component without deleting it?
Yes. Turn off "Show on the status page". It stays in Status Admin with its history, and it no longer appears publicly or affects the banner.
