Private candidate links

Each session has a private candidate link that the interviewer copies in one click, can close to end the candidate’s access instantly, and can reopen later.

The candidate loses access right away. Their work stays saved.

// the problem

Why private candidate links matters in a coding interview

Candidate accounts add friction, and shared meeting links can be forwarded. Each interview needs its own link that you can switch off the moment the interview ends.

// how it works

How does private candidate links work?

  1. A private link per session

    Every session gets its own link with a long random key. Copy it in one click from the live room.

  2. The candidate opens it

    On arrival the key is moved out of the address bar into that browser tab, so it does not linger in history or screenshots.

  3. Close it when you are done

    Close link ends the candidate’s access right away. They see “This session has ended” and their work stays saved.

  4. Reopen if needed

    Reopen link makes the same link work again, for example after a dropped call.

Private candidate links: questions

Can a candidate join without the link?

No. The candidate room only opens with a valid session link, and every action checks it.

What does the candidate see after I close the link?

“This session has ended. Thanks for your time!” Their work is saved for you.

Can I reuse the link after closing it?

Yes. Reopen link makes the same link work again.

Can someone forward the link?

Anyone with the link can join while it is open, so send it only to the candidate and close it when you finish.
