// question bank

Question snapshots

When a question is added to a session, its title and prompt are copied in, so editing the bank later never rewrites what a past candidate was asked.

Bank question v1

“Two sum”, the prompt as it was in March

Title and prompt saved with the interview

Bank question v2

You improve the wording later. The March interview still shows v1

// the problem

Why question snapshots matters in a coding interview

Teams keep improving their questions. If a past interview pointed at the live question, fixing a typo today would rewrite what last month’s candidate saw, and fair comparisons would be impossible.

// how it works

How does question snapshots work?

  1. Add a question to a session

    Its title and prompt are copied into the session at that moment.

  2. Improve your bank freely

    Edit, retitle or archive the bank question whenever you like.

  3. Past interviews stay true

    The live room and review page for earlier sessions keep showing the prompt the candidate actually read.

Question snapshots: questions

If I edit a question, do past interviews change?

No. Each session keeps the title and prompt that were copied in when the question was added.

Do question notes update in past sessions?

Yes. Notes are read from the question itself, so your latest notes show next to past interviews.

Can I delete a question safely?

Questions are archived rather than deleted, and sessions already hold their own copy.
