Scene Planner
The Autessa Video Studio Scene Planner is an AI scene splitter: it cuts your script into short scenes, writes an image prompt for each one, and never rewrites your words. You can re-cut with plain guidance, such as "choppier, 4-6 words per scene".
The problem
Cutting a script into shots is tedious and easy to get wrong
A 30-second video needs a new visual every few seconds. Deciding where each scene starts and what it should show is slow by hand, and AI tools that do it often paraphrase your text along the way. The Scene Planner treats your words as fixed and decides where to cut and what each scene should look like.
Where it happens
What you get
- Cuts the script into numbered scenes with narration, an image prompt and an estimated length.
- Your words are never rewritten; the planner checks its own work against your script.
- Punctuation-only changes are listed as flagged adjustments.
- Image prompts describe what the viewer sees, not the narration repeated back.
- Re-cut scenes with optional guidance to change rhythm or scene length.
- Re-cutting is a deliberate choice: when a re-cut changes the split, existing scene images are replaced, and Video Studio tells you.

AI assist
Where AI helps here
The Scene Planner is an AI tool in your company that you can open and inspect. It cuts and writes prompts, and it is held to one rule: the words are sacred. Each cut or re-cut is one AI task, shown before you run it.
Video Studio runs on Autessa's own AI models and shows an AI task estimate before every step that uses AI.

FAQ
Questions about scene planner
How does AI split a script into scenes?
The Scene Planner reads your script, cuts it at natural spoken breaks, and writes a visual prompt for each scene, without changing your words.
Can I make the scenes shorter?
Yes. Add guidance such as "choppier, 4-6 words per scene" and re-cut. Guidance changes rhythm and length only.
Will re-cutting lose my images?
If a re-cut changes where scenes split, those scenes' images are replaced, and Video Studio says so. Editing a prompt or one scene keeps every take.
Can I change the Scene Planner's instructions?
Yes. It is a real tool in your company, listed in the Resources panel, and its instructions can be edited.
