The problem

Regenerating should never throw away a good image

In most AI video tools, "regenerate" replaces the image you had. If the new one is worse, it is gone. Video Studio keeps every take so trying again is free of risk, and lets a long scene show several shots instead of one.

Where it happens

  1. 1 Script

  2. 2 Scenes

  3. 3 Images

  4. 4 Voiceover

  5. 5 Finish

What you get

  • Keep every take for every scene and mark the chosen one.
  • Multi-shot scenes show a numbered filmstrip under the tile on the grid.
  • Each shot has its own takes, and "New take" opens an editor prefilled with that shot's latest prompt.
  • A new prompt for an extra shot is stored on that take; it never overwrites the scene's base prompt.
  • Delete takes you do not need, including the chosen one after a confirmation.
  • Takes in flight show progress, and stuck ones say "Taking longer than usual…".

FAQ

Questions about shots and takes

If I regenerate an image, do I lose the old one?

No. Every take is kept, and you choose which one the video uses.

Can one scene have more than one image?

Yes. Long scenes can have several numbered shots, each with its own takes.

Can I write a different prompt for a single shot?

Yes. A new take for a shot can have its own prompt, which is stored on that take and leaves the scene's base prompt alone.
