How-to guides
Edit with live preview
Autodocs guides are edited in Markdown with a live side-by-side preview that shows every screenshot in place.
THE PROBLEM
AI drafts need a human pass
A generated draft is a great start, but your team knows the caveats: which customers need approval, what to do when the button is greyed out. Autodocs makes the edit quick and safe.
Edit any Autodocs guide in Markdown on one side and see the finished guide, screenshots included, on the other. Save when it reads right.
How it works
How does edit with live preview work in Autodocs?
- 1
Open a doc and press Edit
The guide splits into Markdown on one side and the finished guide on the other.
- 2
Write
Add tips, warnings, links or extra steps. The preview updates as you type, screenshots included.
- 3
Save or Cancel
Save replaces the article with your version; Cancel puts the guide back as it was.

AI assist
Where AI helps
AI is used where it saves you work and is always visible: it writes the guide from your recording, and it finds elements that moved during a replay, marking those steps healed. You stay in charge of what gets published.

FAQ
Edit with live preview: questions
What format are Autodocs guides in?
Markdown. Each guide is an article.md file in its Drive folder, with its pictures beside it.
Does editing a guide change its workflow?
No. The recorded workflow stays exactly as recorded. If you want a workflow that follows the edited text, use Create workflow.
Can I edit a published guide?
Yes. Open it, press Edit and save.
Try edit with live preview on a task you do every week.
Record it once in Autodocs. You get the guide for your team and the workflow for next time.

100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Autodocs fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
