Changelog and release notes · Autessa Status Page
Changelog editor
Autessa Status Page gives reviewers a changelog editor built for fast, careful review: the headline and Markdown release notes on one side, a live preview of how it will read on the status page on the other, the original AI draft one click away, and the list of source pull requests underneath. Entries can also be written by hand.
The problem it solves
Reviewing should take two minutes, not twenty
If checking a draft means switching between GitHub, a document and the status page, reviews get skipped. Put the wording, the preview and the evidence on one screen, and a reviewer can confirm every line is true and customer-safe before approving.
What you get
- Headline and Description fields, with the hint "Use ### New, ### Improved and ### Fixed sections."
- A live Preview card: "How it reads on the status page."
- View the original draft: the AI's text before anyone edited it.
- "Where this came from": every source pull request with title, repository and number, author and merge time, linked to GitHub.
- Automated pull requests are marked "Automated".
- The source list is staff-only and never reaches the public page.
- Write an entry: pick the day, headline and description; saved as a draft.
- One entry per day: a day that already has an entry says "Edit that one instead."
- The Changelog list sorts by Day, Title, State, Pull requests, Approved by and Published.

Scan "Where this came from" to confirm each line matches a real change.

Where AI helps
What the AI does, and where people decide
The editor shows the AI's draft as a starting point. Everything a reviewer types replaces it; the original stays available for comparison.

FAQ
Questions about changelog editor
Can I write a changelog entry without the AI?
Yes. Write an entry lets you pick the day and write the headline and release notes yourself. It is saved as a draft for approval.
Can customers see which pull requests an entry came from?
No. The source pull request list is visible only in Status Admin.
Can there be two entries for one day?
No. Each day has one entry; if a day is taken, you are asked to edit the existing one.
