Drafts, publishing and sharing · Autessa Video Creator
Share links
An Autessa Video Creator share link points at your public Video Viewer, with a long random id that cannot be guessed. Anyone with the link can watch a published video, with no Autessa account and no sign-in.
The problem
The person you need to reach is not in your workspace
Clients, candidates, partners and customers should not need an account to watch a two-minute video. A share link that opens a clean page and just plays is the whole point of a quick video.
What you get
- Each video gets a long random id, so links cannot be guessed from one another.
- The link opens on your own public Video Viewer, not on a third-party video site.
- Publish copies the link automatically; a Copy button and a selectable link field are always on the video page.
- A published video’s link keeps working when you edit its title or description.
- Links to drafts or deleted videos show a friendly “doesn’t exist” page instead of an error.

FAQ
Questions about share links
How do I share a video privately?
Keep it as a draft and use Share with people. Only the teammates you add by email can watch it.
Can I use my own domain?
Share links use your public Video Viewer’s address, which you set in Settings. Point that at the address your viewer is published on.
Can people download the video?
The public player hides its download button. Like any web video, a determined viewer may still be able to save it, so only publish what you are happy to share.
