Autessa Video Creator security
Screen recordings that are private until you publish
Autessa Video Creator keeps every recording private as a draft, lets only its owner change it, and serves published videos through a public viewer that has no access to your data beyond one published video at a time, using a key you can rotate or turn off.
How it protects your videos
Six rules built into Video Creator
Private by default
Every recording saves as a draft that only its owner and the people they share it with can see. The public viewer will not play a draft.
Owner-only changes
Only the person who recorded a video can edit it, publish it, share it or delete it. Everyone else can only watch.
A viewer with no table access
The public Video Viewer holds no access to your video table. It can ask for one published video by id, through a single read-only lookup, and nothing else.
A narrow, invisible key
Playback uses a private, read-only key that Video Creator creates and installs for you. Its value is never shown. Rotate it with no interruption, or turn it off to stop all public playback.
Unguessable links
Each video’s public id is 64 random letters and numbers, so one link tells you nothing about any other.
Short-lived playback links
The address the player streams from is fetched only when someone opens a video, and it expires.

Where your data lives
Recordings and their details are stored in a table in your own Autessa workspace, alongside your other data and under the same access controls. The original file is kept as recorded; trim and crop are stored as instructions.
Your browser asks first
Screen, camera and microphone access are granted through your browser’s own prompts, and you choose exactly which screen, window or tab to share. Recording stops when you stop sharing.

FAQ
Security questions
Can anyone on the internet find my videos?
No. There is no public list or search. The viewer opens one published video when someone has its link, and each link carries a long random id.
Can the public viewer read my drafts?
No. Drafts are treated as if they do not exist, and the viewer has no access to your video table at all; it reads published videos one id at a time.
How do I stop all public playback quickly?
Turn off the video playback key in Video Creator’s Settings, under Site keys. Every public link stops playing until you set it up again.
Do trims and crops hide what was recorded?
They limit what plays in both players, but the original full recording is kept in your workspace. Close anything sensitive before you record.
Where can I find Autessa’s certifications and policies?
On the Autessa Trust Center at trust.autessa.com.
