Unbranded prompt guard

Autessa Visibility keeps your AI visibility honest with an unbranded prompt guard. Prompts that name your brand, and head-to-head “A vs B” prompts that name a tracked brand, are flagged while you type and left out of every score, because a question that names you always gets an answer about you.

The problem

Branded prompts make every brand look visible

“Is Northwind good for agencies?” will mention Northwind every time, and “Northwind vs Brightpath” can only ever discuss those two. Counting them inflates visibility and hides the real question: do engines recommend you when the buyer has not heard of you yet? Visibility answers that by measuring only open questions.

What you get

  • A prompt that contains your brand name, an alias or your domain is flagged as branded.
  • A prompt with “vs” or “versus” that names a tracked brand or competitor is flagged as head-to-head.
  • “Quality vs price” style prompts without a tracked brand are fine and counted.
  • Flagged checks still run and show in the run log as “Not counted”.
  • The add-prompt form explains why, and suggests an open question like “best … for …”.

How it works

How does unbranded prompt guard work?

  1. Type a prompt

As you type, the form checks it against your brand name, aliases, domain and competitors.

  2. See the warning

Branded or head-to-head prompts get a plain explanation and a suggestion.

  3. Keep or rephrase

You can still track it, for example to read the answer, but it is never counted in your scores.

FAQ

Questions about unbranded prompt guard

Why aren’t my branded prompts counted?

Because a prompt that names you always gets an answer about you, so it cannot show whether engines recommend you on their own. Visibility still runs them and shows the answer, but leaves them out of every score.

Can I still see answers to branded prompts?

Yes. They run like any other prompt and their answers are in the run log and answer inspector, marked “Not counted”.

Is every “vs” prompt excluded?

No. Only head-to-head prompts that name a tracked brand or competitor. A prompt like “quality vs price in agency software” is counted.
