Revision history and restore
Autessa Community keeps the full revision history of every wiki page. Each save is a numbered revision with its editor and a summary, any revision can be compared side by side with the page as it stands now, with changed lines highlighted, and any revision can be restored.
The problem
People hesitate to edit what they cannot undo
If one bad edit can wipe out a page, people stop editing and the wiki goes stale. A history that shows exactly what changed, and restores it in a click, makes it safe for everyone to improve pages.
What you get
- Every save is a numbered revision with the editor’s name, the time and the summary of what changed.
- Pick any revision to compare it side by side with the current page.
- Changed lines are highlighted so the difference is obvious.
- Restore this revision brings an older version back, after a confirmation, as a new revision.
- A page’s revision count is shown so you can see how much it has evolved.
How it works
How does revision history and restore work in Autessa Community?
Open History
From any wiki page, open History to see every revision on the left.
Compare
Pick a revision; it appears side by side with the page as it stands, with changed lines highlighted.
Restore if needed
Choose Restore this revision and confirm. The restore becomes the newest revision, so nothing is lost.

FAQ
Questions about revision history and restore
Does the wiki keep version history?
Yes. Every save is a numbered revision with its editor and summary, kept for the life of the page.
Can I see what changed between versions?
Yes. Compare any revision side by side with the current page, with changed lines highlighted.
Can I undo a bad edit?
Yes. Restore the earlier revision. The restore is saved as a new revision, so history is never rewritten.
