Page tree and navigation
Autessa Community organizes every wiki as a nested page tree. The tree sits in a column on the left with a title filter, articles get an On this page outline that follows you as you read, and every page links to the pages filed under it and to the previous and next page.
The problem
A wiki nobody can navigate is a wiki nobody reads
Flat lists of pages get unmanageable after the first fifty. A tree mirrors how knowledge is shaped (Engineering, then Releases, then Hotfix process) and lets people browse when they do not know the exact title.
What you get
- Collapsible tree nodes built from each page’s parent and order, with the current page highlighted.
- A title filter that flattens the tree to matching pages while keeping their ancestors, so the hierarchy still reads.
- On this page: the article’s headings, with the current one highlighted as you scroll.
- In this section lists the pages filed under the one you are reading.
- Previous and next links walk the tree in order.
- Breadcrumbs on every page show where it lives.
