Interactive course builder

Autessa Homebase includes an interactive course builder and player: HR administrators build training courses as short screens, slides, key points, roleplays, spot the clues, sort, match and what would you do, followed by a final check with a 90% pass mark. People take the course inside Homebase, it resumes where they left off, and passing completes the training.

  • Interactive screens, not just slides
  • A graded final check with a 90% pass mark
  • Resume where you left off, with time spent recorded
  • Edit in a draft; publishing keeps everyone’s progress

The problem

Training nobody remembers

Clicking through a slide deck proves very little. People learn by doing: spotting the warning signs in a phishing email, choosing what they would do, sorting examples. Homebase lets HR build that kind of course without a separate authoring tool, and records a real pass.

How it works

How interactive course builder works in Homebase

  1. Start a course

From Learning admin, start a course on an existing training or create a new training with its course. It starts as a draft from a short template: one module with a slide, a what would you do, key points and a 3-question final check.

  2. Build modules and screens

Add, remove and reorder modules and screens. Each screen type has its own form, and you can preview the draft as a learner.

  3. Write the final check

Add questions to the final check and set how many an attempt asks. The pass mark is 90%.

  4. Review and publish

Publishing shows a dry run first: screens, questions, the new version and who is affected. People partway through keep their progress.

FAQ

Questions about interactive course builder

Can I build my own training courses in Autessa Homebase?

Yes. HR administrators build interactive courses in Learning admin, with slides, key points, roleplays, spot the clues, sort, match and what would you do screens, plus a final check.

What is the pass mark?

The final check has a 90% pass mark. The server grades each attempt and completes the training on a pass.

Do people lose progress when I edit a course?

No. Edits go into a draft, and publishing keeps the ids of screens people already passed, so their progress stays. You can choose to make a changed screen count as new.

Is the course accessible?

Yes. Feedback is immediate, announced to screen readers, and never carried by color alone, and the player works with the keyboard.
