The problem

HR questions that should not need HR

How many days off do I have? What do I need to do this week? Where is the handbook? When employees cannot answer these themselves, HR spends its day in the inbox. Homebase puts the answers on one page built around each person.

How it works

How employee self-service Home works in Homebase

  1. Start here

A greeting that explains what your role does, and shortcut cards like Request time off, Write my reviews, Update my goals or Thank someone.

  2. Getting started

A checklist for your role, such as completing your profile, linking your calendar, setting your first goal and confirming policies, that ticks off as you do them.

  3. Your cards

Apps, announcements, my onboarding, my time off, holidays, who’s out, reviews to write, my goals, the praise wall, learning, benefits, my requests, policies to confirm and knowledge search.

  4. Role extras

Managers also see approvals and their team; HR and executives see headcount, onboarding in progress, promotions and their landing dashboard.

FAQ

Questions about employee self-service Home

Does Autessa Homebase have an employee self-service portal?

Yes. Every employee starts on Home, with shortcuts, a getting-started checklist and cards for their own time off, reviews, goals, trainings, benefits, documents and policies.

Do managers get a different Home?

Yes. Home shows cards for the viewer’s roles, so managers also see approvals and their team, and HR and executives see headcount and their dashboard.

Can employees update their own details?

Yes. People edit their preferred name, pronouns, photo, bio, skills, phone and time zone, and their personal and emergency details unless HR turns that off. Job details are kept by HR.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. Home’s grid stacks on phones, and pages like the directory, team calendar and time-off request are built phone first.
