PTO and leave management
Time-off requests and approvals
Autessa Homebase handles time-off requests and approvals: employees pick a type and dates and see the working days used and the balance after, then their manager approves with the team’s other absences in view. Weekends and the person’s location holidays never count.
- Working days counted, skipping weekends and holidays
- The balance after, before you send
- Approvals with who else on the team is out
- Change or cancel until the time off starts
The problem
Approving time off blind leads to empty offices
A manager approving a vacation by email cannot see who else is out that week or what balance is left. Homebase puts both on the request, so approvals are quick and right, and employees know what they have before they ask.
How it works
How time-off requests and approvals works in Homebase
Request
From My time off, pick the type and dates, with half days where the policy allows. Homebase shows the working days used and what is left after.
Add a private reason
Optional. Only the person, their managers and HR see it.
Choose who to let know
Your manager and teammates are suggested; add anyone by name or email. They get a calendar invite that does not block their time.
Approve or reject
The manager (or HR when there is no manager) sees the balance after and who else is out, then approves, or rejects with a required note.
Change or cancel
Change or cancel any time before it starts. Changing approved dates asks for approval again; cancelling returns the days and removes the calendar events.

How do employees request time off in Homebase?
From My time off they pick a type and dates, see the working days used and the balance after, choose who to let know and send it.
Who approves time-off requests?
The person’s manager, or HR when they have no manager. Some types, like sick time, can be booked without approval.
Can I change an approved request?
Yes, until it starts. Changing approved dates sends it for approval again; cancelling returns the days.
Do weekends and holidays count?
No. Requests count working days only, skipping weekends and the holidays for the person’s location.
Is the reason for time off private?
Yes. Only the person, their managers and HR see the reason. Colleagues see dates, and the type only where the policy allows.
