Invoice templates
Autessa Payments invoice templates save the line items, default payment terms and note you bill often. Click Use on a template, or choose Start from a template on a new invoice, and the form fills in; pick the customer and send.
The problem it solves
Retyping the same invoice every month invites mistakes
Retainers, care plans and standard services get billed the same way again and again. A template makes the next invoice take seconds and keeps the wording and prices consistent.
What you get
- Create a template from scratch, or open any invoice and choose Save as template.
- Templates hold line items, default terms (or No default) and an optional note; the customer is not saved, so they work for anyone.
- Names must be unique, ignoring case, and only you see them.
- The list shows each template’s items, amount, terms and when it was last used.
- Editing a template changes only invoices you make from now on; deleting one never touches invoices already made from it.
- Recurring invoices can start from a template and keep their own copy of the lines.

FAQ
Questions about invoice templates
Does a template remember the customer?
No. Templates save the lines, terms and note only, so you can reuse them for anyone.
If I edit a template, do old invoices change?
No. Changes apply to invoices you make from then on. Invoices already made keep their contents.
Can I make a template from an invoice I already sent?
Yes. Open the invoice and choose Save as template.
