Calling from the app · Autessa Phone & Texting
Keypad and outbound calling
Autessa Phone & Texting has a Keypad for outbound business calling. Pick which company number to call from, dial, and the person you call sees your business number, not your personal phone.
The problem it solves
Calling back from a personal phone leaks your number and loses the record
When someone returns a customer's call from their own cell, the customer now has a private number, the call is not in any shared history, and the next teammate has no idea it happened. Calling from the Keypad keeps the business number in front and the call in the company's log.
What you get
- A Call from picker appears when your company has more than one number.
- The person you call sees the business number.
- A 12-key pad plus a number field that accepts full international formats, such as numbers starting with +44.
- During the call, the keys send tones, so you can get through another company's phone menu.
- End call is one press, and the call shows up in Calls with the rest.
- Call back and Text buttons on any past call open the right number and line for you.
How it works
How does keypad and outbound calling work?
Open Keypad
In the Phone app, open Keypad. If you have several numbers, choose which one to call from.
Dial
Type or paste the number, or press the keys, then press Call.
Use tones if you need them
When a phone menu asks you to press 1, the keypad sends the tone.
End the call
Press End call. It is saved in Calls with its length and, if your number keeps them, a transcript and recording.
