QR code tracking and analytics · Autessa QR Codes
QR code scan analytics
Every Autessa QR code comes with scan analytics: total scans, scans in the last 7 days and the last 30 days, and a daily “Scans over time” chart for the last 30 days. It all sits on the code’s page, next to its design and destination.
The problem
Print has never told you whether it worked
You can measure every click on a web ad, but a poster, a flyer or a package insert has always been a guess. QR code tracking closes that gap: every scan passes through the short link first, so you see exactly how often each printed piece is used and when interest rises or fades.
FROM THE PRINT SHOP
Watch the 30-day chart after a mailing or an event. The spike tells you when your audience actually acted, which is useful for timing the next one.
What you get
- Three headline tiles: Total scans, Last 7 days and Last 30 days.
- A daily “Scans over time” chart covering the last 30 days, drawn in the code’s own color.
- Scans are counted at the redirect, before the visitor reaches your page, so nothing depends on your website’s tracking.
- The QR Codes list shows each code’s total scans, so you can compare codes at a glance.
- Analytics sit on the same page as the code, its design and its destination.
- Anyone a code is shared with, even as Viewer, can read its analytics.
- The same numbers come back from autessa qr-codes stats for reports and scripts.
How it works
How does qR code scan analytics work?
Someone scans
Their phone opens the code’s short link.
The scan is recorded
Autessa records the scan, then redirects them to your destination.
The numbers update
Open the code to see the three tiles and the 30-day chart.
Compare and act
Compare codes in the list, or drill into the scan log for time, device and place.
Every option
What the analytics show
| Option | What it does |

| Last 7 days | Scans in the past week. |
| Last 30 days | Scans in the past 30 days. |
| Scans over time | A daily chart of the last 30 days. |

Permissions
Who can do what?
QR codes are private by default. Access comes from ownership, the company admin role, or a share at a chosen level.
| Who | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner and company admins | See analytics for their codes (company admins: every code). |
| Anyone a code is shared with | Viewers and above see the code’s full analytics. |
| Scanners | Nothing. Scanners never see analytics; they only reach your destination. |

FAQ
Questions about qR code scan analytics
How do I see how many times my QR code was scanned?
Open the code in Autessa QR Codes. The page shows total scans, scans in the last 7 and 30 days, and a daily chart of the last 30 days.
Do I need analytics on my own website for QR tracking to work?
No. Scans are counted by Autessa at the redirect, before the visitor reaches your page. UTM tags are optional, for when you also want your website analytics to credit the scan.
Can I get scan counts in a script or report?
Yes. autessa qr-codes stats returns the totals, the daily series and recent scans as JSON.
Does a paused code count scans?
No. A paused code neither redirects nor records scans; activate it again and counting resumes with the next scan.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa QR Codes fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
