Autessa Video Creator
Trim, crop and titles
Trim and crop in Autessa Video Creator are non-destructive: the original recording and its audio stay untouched, and the edits are applied every time the video plays.
Why it matters
What does trim, crop and titles cover?
Trim the start and end, crop to the part of the screen that matters, and add a title and description, without re-encoding the file or losing audio.
Most quick videos need exactly two edits: cut the fumbling start and end, and focus on the part of the screen that matters. Video Creator does both in the Review step, and does them without re-encoding, so the original file and its audio are never put at risk.
Who uses it
The person recording sets trim, crop, title and description before saving. The owner can edit the title and description later.

FAQ
Questions about trim, crop and titles
Does trimming make a new copy of the video?
No. The trim is saved as start and end times next to the original, and applied every time the video plays.
Does cropping lower the quality?
The cropped area is enlarged to fill the player, so a very small crop of a large screen can look softer. Keep the crop as large as the content allows.
If edits are not baked in, can someone see the trimmed part?
Not in either player, which keeps playback inside your trim and shows only your crop. The full original file is kept in your workspace, so trim is for focus, not for hiding secrets.
Can I change the title after I publish?
Yes. The owner can edit the title and description at any time, and the public watch page shows the new text.
