Trim
Autessa Video Creator trims a recording with start and end handles on a timeline. Drag the handles to cut the dead air at the beginning and end, click the track to scrub, and the preview loops inside your trimmed window so you hear exactly what viewers will.
The problem
Every recording starts with “is this on?”
The first seconds are you finding the right window and the last are you reaching for Stop. Trimming them is the single edit almost every quick video needs, and it should take seconds, not an editor.
What you get
- Drag a start handle and an end handle along the timeline; the kept window is highlighted.

How it works
How does trim work in Autessa Video Creator?
Step 1. Stop recording
The Review step opens with your recording in the editor.
Step 2. Drag the handles
Move the start handle past the opening and the end handle before the closing.
Step 3. Play to check
Press play. The preview runs from your start to your end and loops back.
Step 4. Save draft
Press Save draft. The trim plays everywhere: in My Videos and on the public viewer.

Questions about trim
Does trimming make a new copy of the video?
No. The trim is saved as start and end times next to the original, and applied every time the video plays.
Can viewers seek into the part I trimmed?
No. Both players keep playback inside your trim window, even if someone drags the seek bar.
