AI visibility tracking · Autessa Visibility

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google, Claude and Gemini tracking

Autessa Visibility tracks your brand in five engines: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google, Claude and Gemini. Each AI engine answers with live web search, as buyers see it, and Google keywords are checked against the top 10 organic results. Visibility by engine then shows exactly where you show up and where you don’t.

The problem

Every engine tells a different story

ChatGPT might recommend you while Claude never does, and Perplexity might cite a review site that Gemini ignores. Tracking one engine gives you a partial and often misleading picture. Visibility runs the same prompt through each engine you choose, keeps each engine in its own color across every chart, and lets you filter the whole app to one engine.

What you get

  • ChatGPT: with no setup, an estimate from Autessa’s GPT model with live web search; or your own OpenAI key on the Responses API with web search, the closest match to ChatGPT itself.
  • Perplexity: Perplexity Sonar on your own key, with its own citations.
  • Claude: the Anthropic API on your own key, with web search.
  • Gemini: Google AI Studio on your own key, with Google Search grounding.
  • Google: a free live web search returning the top 10 organic results for each keyword.
  • Choose engines per prompt, and see visibility and sentiment by engine.
  • Bulk runs skip engines whose latest check came back “Needs API key”, so the queue is never filled with checks that cannot answer.

How it works

How does chatGPT, Perplexity, Google, Claude and Gemini tracking work?

  1. Choose engines per prompt

When you add a prompt, tick the engines to ask. AEO prompts go to the AI assistants; SEO keywords go to Google.

  2. Each engine answers

The check sends the prompt to each engine with live web search turned on and stores the answer text, the cited URLs and, for Google, the organic results.

  3. The app scores it

Mentions, position, citations and organic rank are computed from the answer in the app, the same way for every engine.

  4. Compare engines

Visibility by engine, sentiment by engine and the By engine trend show where each one stands. Filter the whole app to one engine at any time.

OptionWhat it does
ChatGPTUse Autessa (no key), or use your OpenAI key. If you choose your key and none is saved, ChatGPT checks pause until you save one or switch back.
PerplexityPerplexity Sonar with its own citations. Runs on your Perplexity key.
ClaudeClaude with web search. Runs on your Anthropic key.
GeminiGemini with Google Search grounding. Runs on your Google AI Studio key.
GoogleLive web search, top 10 organic results per keyword. Free, nothing to set up.
Engines per promptAny combination of the five. A matrix cell shows “n/a” for engines a prompt does not track.
Needs API keyA check status for engines that need your key and have none, or whose key was rejected.

FAQ

Questions about chatGPT, Perplexity, Google, Claude and Gemini tracking

Which AI engines does Autessa Visibility track?

ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini, plus Google organic search. Every AI engine answers with live web search, so results reflect what the engine finds today.

Do results match the consumer ChatGPT app exactly?

Not exactly. Answers through a provider API, or through Autessa’s estimate, can differ slightly from the consumer apps, and every AI answer varies run to run. That is why Visibility tracks trends over many runs and tests whether changes are real.

How do I add Perplexity, Claude and Gemini?

Add your own provider key and those engines start on the next check, billed by the provider. ChatGPT and Google work from day one with no setup.
