Interactive org chart
Autessa Homebase includes an interactive org chart that shows who reports to whom, by manager or by department. Open roles show as dashed boxes under their hiring manager, and HR can drag someone onto a new manager, which always asks for the date the change takes effect.

The problem
Org charts drawn in slides are wrong by the next reorg
A hand-drawn org chart is out of date the day after it is shared, and nobody knows which version is right. Homebase draws the chart live from employee records, so it is always current, and moving someone on the chart updates their record properly, with a date and a history entry.
How it works
How interactive org chart works in Homebase
Open the chart
People → Org chart starts at the top of the company. Expand and collapse any branch.
Find someone
Search and jump straight to a person. A card on the side shows their details and links to their profile.
Switch views
Choose By manager for reporting lines, or By department to see the company by department.
See the hiring plan
Positions being hired for show as dashed boxes under the hiring manager.
Change a manager
HR drags a person onto their new manager, or uses Change manager on the card. The dated Change job dialog opens first, so the move is recorded properly.
