What is an HRIS?
An HRIS (human resources information system) is the system of record for employees: who they are, what job they hold, who they report to and their employment history. Autessa Homebase is an HRIS that also runs time off, reviews, onboarding and training on the same record.
Can I import my existing employee data into Homebase?
Yes. Upload a CSV, check how each column is matched, and preview who will be added, updated or needs fixing before anything is saved. Managers are matched by work email, so the reporting lines come from the same file.
Does Homebase handle contractors as well as employees?
Yes. Add a person as an employee or a contractor, with contract details for contractors. HR is reminded before a contract ends, and Make employee converts a contractor when they join full time.
