Onboarding is everything that has to happen so a new hire is ready, welcomed and productive; offboarding is the same care on the way out. Owners are emailed and see their steps on Home. With Autessa IT Desk connected, IT steps become IT Desk requests that close themselves, and the Apps and access grid shows what each person can open.

Questions about onboarding and offboarding

Does onboarding start automatically?

It can. Add a person can start their onboarding checklist in the same step, and End employment starts offboarding.

Can I have different checklists for employees and contractors?

Yes. Homebase installs Employee onboarding, Contractor onboarding and Offboarding templates, and each template says who it is for.

Does Homebase create accounts in other systems?

Homebase changes roles in Autessa apps from its Apps and access grid, and opens Autessa IT Desk requests for IT steps. Accounts in outside systems are handled by IT through those requests.
