Apps and access

Autessa Homebase includes app access management for your Autessa apps: Settings → Apps and access lists everyone against every Autessa app you can reach, with their role in it and whether they can open it, and an HR administrator changes either from one grid. Each change is made with the administrator’s own access and kept in Homebase’s history.

  • Everyone against every Autessa app, in one sortable grid
  • Change a role, or who can open the app, from a cell
  • The same view on each person’s profile
  • People using an app but not in Homebase, ready to add

The problem

Access spread across every app

When each app keeps its own list of users and roles, nobody can answer what a person has access to, and leavers keep access longer than they should. Homebase puts it in one place and ties it to the person’s HR record.

How it works

How apps and access works in Homebase

  1. See everyone’s access

Settings → Apps and access shows people against apps: their role in each, and whether they can open it.

  2. Change a cell

Choose a cell to give or change a role, or to let someone open an app or stop them. Saving a role also lets them open it when the app is shared person by person.

  3. Add the missing people

People who sign in to Autessa or hold a role somewhere but are not in Homebase are listed, to add as an employee or contractor, or as an Autessa user who is not staff.

  4. Manage the app list

Each app is listed with where its roles live; add or edit apps at the bottom of the page.

FAQ

Questions about apps and access

Can HR see which apps each employee can use?

Yes, for Autessa apps. Settings → Apps and access shows everyone against every Autessa app the HR administrator can reach, with each person’s role and whether they can open it.

Can an HR administrator change access to apps they cannot reach?

No. Changes are made with the administrator’s own Autessa access, so an app they cannot reach does not show.

Is there a record of access changes?

Yes. Every change lands in Homebase’s history.

How is access to other tools handled?

Apps and access covers every Autessa app. For other systems, add IT steps to offboarding, or run them through Autessa IT Desk.

100% customizable, code and all

Make Autessa Homebase fully your own.

Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
