Activity feed

Autessa IDF Manager keeps an activity feed of who did what: creating a disclosure, updating it, moving it between stages, adding or removing attachments, commenting and changing someone’s role. Each disclosure has its own Activity tab, and the dashboard shows the most recent activity across the portfolio.

  • Plain sentences, with status names rather than codes
  • Ordered by the time the server recorded the entry

The problem

"When did this get approved, and by whom?"

Invention records matter long after the decision. Without a history, the answer to "who moved this, and when?" depends on someone’s memory. An activity feed written as plain sentences answers it at a glance.

What you get

  • Every kind of change: created, updated, status changed, attachment added, attachment removed, commented and role changed.
  • Entries read as sentences, such as "moved this from Under Review to Approved" or "attached bench-results.xlsx".
  • Updates to review fields name the fields that changed.
  • Entries are ordered by the time the server recorded them, not a time anyone typed.
  • Each disclosure has an Activity tab; the dashboard shows the latest entries across all disclosures, with the disclosure number.
  • Visible to Reviewers and Admins.
  • Recording an entry never blocks the change it describes: if a feed entry fails, your edit still saves.

How it works

How does activity feed work in Autessa IDF Manager?

  1. Work as usual

Create, edit, move, attach and comment. Each action adds an entry.

  2. Check one disclosure

Open its Activity tab to see its history, newest first.

  3. Check the whole portfolio

The dashboard’s Recent activity card shows the latest changes across every disclosure.

FAQ

Questions about activity feed

Does IDF Manager keep a history of changes?

Yes. The activity feed records when disclosures are created, updated, moved between stages, commented on, and when files are attached or removed, plus role changes. Reviewers and Admins can see it.

Is the activity feed an audit trail?

It is an operational record of who did what, written by the app as people work and ordered by server time, so entries cannot be backdated.

Can I see who approved a disclosure?

Yes. The record page shows who last moved it, and the Activity tab shows every move with the person and time.
