Spam and abuse limits
Autessa Meetings stops spam bookings with company-wide abuse limits: upcoming meetings per person per link, bookings per person per day, bookings per hour, and a shortest-time-on-form check. A hidden honeypot field and an optional email code add more protection.
Every booking sends a calendar invite to the address someone typed, so Meetings limits how many one person can make.
The problem
Every booking sends a real invite
A public booking page sends a calendar invitation to whatever address is typed, which makes it a target for bots and pranks. Limits keep one person or script from filling calendars or sending invites to strangers.
What you get
- Upcoming meetings per person, per link (recommended 2).
- Bookings per person, per day across every link (recommended 6).
- Bookings per hour, company-wide, as a safety stop (recommended 60).
- Shortest time on the form (recommended 3 seconds): faster submissions get a fake confirmation.
- A hidden honeypot field: bots that fill it get a fake success and nothing is booked.
- One-click “Use recommended” to reset.
- Per-link daily caps and email codes.

FAQ
Questions about spam and abuse limits
How do I stop spam bookings?
Keep the recommended abuse limits on, and turn on “Ask for an email code” for links that attract spam.
What do bots see?
Bots that submit too fast or fill the hidden field get a confirmation screen, but nothing is booked and no invite is sent.
Do limits affect real customers?
The recommended limits are generous for people: two upcoming meetings per link and six bookings a day per email.
