The Payments guide (AI)
The Autessa Payments guide is an AI assistant in a panel beside the Payments page that knows exactly where you are in setup. Ask it anything about setup, sales tax or invoices; it checks your setup, explains and estimates tax, highlights the right part of the page, and prepares business details, tax setup and invoice drafts that change nothing until you click Do it.
The problem it solves
Payments setup is full of questions you can’t ask a form
“Do I need to charge tax in California?” and “What does this verification question mean?” usually send people to search. The guide answers in context, and does the routine parts for you with your confirmation.
What you get
- Starts with suggestions: Walk me through setup, What sales tax do I need to charge?, Create my first invoice.
- Does on its own: check your setup, look up where you collect tax, explain tax rules, estimate tax on an amount, and show you where on the page.
- Prepares with a Do it card: save business details, set your tax category, add a tax location, create a draft invoice, send a draft invoice.
- Every proposal shows exactly what will happen; Not now skips it, and nothing is sent until you click Do it.
- Only you can verify your identity, link a bank account or change payout settings.
- Tax answers carry a note that they are general information, not tax advice.
- It opens while setup is unfinished and collapses to a Payments guide button once you are done.

Can the guide send an invoice without me?
No. Creating a draft and sending it each need you to click Do it.
Can the guide fill in verification?
No. Identity and bank details are only ever typed by you. Ask what a question means and it highlights the right part of the page.
Is the guide’s tax answer tax advice?
No. It is general information; check with your tax agency or an accountant for your exact situation.
