The problem

Why ai resume screening matters

A popular role can bring in hundreds of resumes. Reading each one closely is impossible, and keyword filters miss good people and pass bad fits. Recruiters need a fast, explainable first read that never takes the decision away from them.

The short answer

Autessa Recruit includes AI resume screening: each application gets a 0 to 100 score, a recommendation, strengths, gaps and a requirement-by-requirement match with quoted evidence, and the AI never moves anyone.

How it works

How ai resume screening works in Autessa Recruit

  1. An application arrives

A few seconds after someone applies on the careers site, the application is queued for assessment.

  2. The AI reads it against your job

It reads the resume text (or the file itself when the text can’t be extracted) and the answers, against the job’s requirements, questions, grading hints and your guidance.

  3. You get the evidence, not just a number

A 0 to 100 score, a recommendation (Strong yes, Yes, Maybe, No), a summary, strengths, gaps, and every requirement marked Met, Partly, Not met or Not shown, with the evidence it found.

  4. Red flags are called out

Knockout failures, inconsistencies, gaps and instructions hidden inside a resume are listed under “Worth a closer look”.

  5. People decide

The score never moves an application. Recruiters and hiring managers sort, filter and move people themselves, and can ask for a re-grade any time.

Permissions

Who can do what?

Recruit’s roles decide what each person sees. Hiring managers are narrowed to their own jobs, interviewers to their own interviews.

RoleWhat they can do
AdminSee every assessment and control grading settings.
RecruiterSee every assessment and request re-grades.
Hiring managerSee assessments for their own jobs.
InterviewerNever sees AI scores, so interview feedback isn’t anchored by them.

Where AI helps

This is Recruit’s AI at its core: a structured read of every application against your requirements, with the evidence shown so anyone can check it. AI in Recruit is advice: it never moves an applicant or makes a decision.

Connected

How ai resume screening connects

Every part of Recruit shares the same jobs, candidates and calendar, on both sides of the hire.

FAQ

AI resume screening: questions

Does Autessa Recruit screen resumes with AI?

Yes. Recruit assesses every application against the job’s requirements and gives a score, a recommendation, strengths, gaps and a requirement-by-requirement match with evidence.

Can the AI reject candidates automatically?

No. The score is advice only and never moves an application. People sort, move and reject applicants.

What if a resume contains hidden instructions to the AI?

The assessment flags instructions found inside a resume as a red flag, “Instructions in the resume”, so a reviewer can look closely.

Why can’t interviewers see the AI score?

To avoid anchoring. Interviewers form their own view from the interview, and their scorecards stay independent of the AI.

What does “Quarantined” mean?

An application that didn’t arrive through your careers site is held for review and never assessed, so its contents are treated with care.
