The problem

Why application form matters

Long, clunky application forms lose good candidates, while forms that ask too little leave recruiters chasing basics. You need the right fields for your company, a smooth resume upload and a clear record of what each candidate agreed to.

The short answer

Autessa Recruit includes a configurable job application form with required or optional contact fields, resume upload up to 10 MB, every common question type and a versioned consent statement.

How it works

How application form works in Autessa Recruit

  1. Choose the standard fields

Decide which contact fields candidates fill in: preferred name, full legal name, phone and LinkedIn profile, each required, optional or hidden. Email is always required.

  2. Set baseline questions

Write the screening questions every new job starts with. They are copied into each job, so you can still edit them per job.

  3. Candidates apply in minutes

They fill in About you, drop in a resume (PDF, Word or text, up to 10 MB), answer a few questions and agree to your consent statement.

  4. Clear errors, then a private link

Mistakes are explained in plain words before sending. After they send, candidates get a private status link on screen and by email.

Options and settings

Every option, in plain words

What you can set and see in application form.

OptionWhat it does

Full legal nameAs it appears on their ID.
EmailAlways required: where the confirmation and private status link go.
PhoneFor recruiter calls and phone screens.
LinkedIn profile URLA link to their LinkedIn profile, checked to be a real LinkedIn address.
ResumePDF, Word (.docx, .doc) or text, up to 10 MB. Can be required or optional.
Baseline questionsQuestions every new job starts with; add them to an existing job with “Add baseline questions”.
Consent statementThe text candidates agree to, with a version so you can tell who agreed to which wording.
Source trackingLinks can mark where an applicant came from: careers site, referral, LinkedIn or other.
Duplicate checkIf someone already has an open application for the role, they are offered a fresh status link instead of applying twice.

FAQ

Application form: questions

Which file types can candidates upload as a resume?

PDF, Word (.docx or .doc) and plain text, up to 10 MB. The file is stored under a generic name, so the candidate’s original file name never leaves their browser.

Can we track where applicants come from?

Yes. Application links can carry a source of careers site, referral, LinkedIn or other, which is saved with the application.

What happens if someone applies twice for the same job?

Recruit finds their open application for that role and offers to email them a fresh status link, instead of creating a duplicate.

Can we change the consent wording?

Yes. When you change the statement, you give it a new version, so each application records which wording the candidate agreed to.
